Incident Description
According to Buffalo Police, just before 9pm on April 15th, 2026, on-duty officers Nikko Pascucci and Ezgi Dilek were about to walk into the 7-Eleven at Prospect Avenue and Connecticut Street as customers when they saw an alleged armed robbery in progress.
Video released to the public from 7-Eleven surveillance cameras shows a man pull out what is assumed to be a gun and the clerk, who had their hands up, was shot as evidenced by a white puff of smoke. About ten seconds later, officer Pascucci walks up to the door, sees the robbery in progress, and retreats behind to the Connecticut St side of the building. The person committing the robbery notices the officer saw him through the window of the entrance, abandons the robbery, peers out the door, and runs out.
Based on body cam footage, officer Ezgi Dilek can be seen off to the other side of the building when the alleged robber ran out. According to police, Dilek fired two shots, with one hitting the alleged robber in the shoulder. According to police, the alleged robber carjacked a vehicle and then crashed into three unoccupied vehicles.
