Description | Retired Buffalo police officer Antonio Roman, 67, admitted to assault after shooting a 14-year-old in the parking lot of Marine Drive Apartments. Roman suspected a group of stealing property from vehicles in the parking lot around 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 8. He then shot the teen in the leg before the group drove away. An ambulance transported the teen to Oishei Children’s Hospital for surgery. OutcomeRoman pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and first-degree reckless endangerment. He remains released on previously posted bail and faces a maximum of seven years in prison when he is sentenced in May. |
