| Description | Buffalo police officers responded to an “unknown trouble” call around 2 a.m. on Donovan Drive on the East Side of Buffalo. In a bystander video that is no longer available, concerned residents can be heard shouting at responding officers telling them multiple times not to shoot a woman holding a knife, and reminding them that they have tasers and pepper spray. In body worn camera, Buffalo police officer Terris(Tank) Garner, can be heard telling the woman repeatedly to drop the knife and asking his partner Marcus Fears if he has a Taser. As the woman steps forward Garner steps forward as well and fires his gun, hitting the woman in the shoulder who then falls to the ground. Police reported that, the woman allegedly stabbed a man in the head. The man and the woman were taken to the Erie County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The officers who pepper sprayed and shot the woman have been placed on PAID administrative leave. |
